The Problem
The existing process of managing complaints received in the
MHA NCRP portal from Cyber Police entails labor-intensive
tasks such as manually verifying transaction status in
Finacle, EPH, and EDW. Following this, updates are made to the
MHA NCRP portal, and if necessary, accounts are frozen based
on predefined rules. This manual approach proves to be
error-prone and time-consuming, creating a significant
challenge for the IndusInd team to meet a demanding Turnaround
Time (TAT) of 2 hours for case updates on the MHA Portal. This
struggle not only hinders efficiency but also leads to a
backlog generated by manual processes. With a daily volume
expectation of 3000 cases nationwide, our challenge is to
devise a more streamlined and automated process, alleviating
errors, reducing time consumption, and effectively managing
the high volume of cases to meet the stringent 2-hour TAT.
Our Approach
Lauren has engineered an innovative automation solution. This
solution efficiently formats inputs and conducts checks on
transaction statuses and rules across various technology
platforms. Remarkably, this automated process significantly
enhances the speed of case updates, reducing the processing
time from 15 minutes per case in manual processing to a mere 2
minutes through automation. Lauren's solution not only
accelerates the workflow but also ensures accuracy, addressing
the previous error-prone nature of the manual process.
Our Development Process
Handling complaints received in the MHA portal from Cyber Police
involves a fraud detection process implemented on Automation
Anywhere A360. This process includes gathering data from various
source systems such as Finacle, IMPS, and NEFT for analysis and
fraud detection. Subsequently, it updates the complaint status on
the MHA Portal.
